Hannah Foster
Dental Hygienist
BSc (Hons) | GDC No. 263597
I have a passion for perfection and cleanliness, so I will be sure to keep you smiling!
Hannah began her career in dentistry here at Riveredge in 2014, starting as an apprentice dental nurse, but even then, she was obviously destined for greater things. We feel blessed that she applied to Riveredge as the first step in her burgeoning career. Hannah flew through her Dental Nurse qualification, closely followed by post-nursing qualifications in dental radiography and implantology while at Riveredge. This led to her being accepted at Teesside University to study for her BSc Degree in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene.
Although Hannah had to leave her full-time nursing position at Riveredge in 2018 to study full-time for her BSc Honours degree, we are very pleased to report she remained an integral part of the team during her three years at university, always rejoining Riveredge outside regular term-time to give us helping hand.
Hannah passed her BSc degree with flying colours; in fact, she achieved 1st Class honours! We were all very proud when she immediately returned to work for Riveredge. Hannah took up her new position alongside Laura as a Riveredge Dental Hygienist in August 2021 before taking over full-time from Laura in January 2022, following Laura’s retirement after more than 20 years at Riveredge. Although she currently works as our dental hygienist, let’s not forget that as a qualified dental therapist, Hannah can also carry out many of the tasks our dentists can do, such as white fillings, simple extractions, and tooth bleaching procedures. She is also interested in facial aesthetics, so who knows what the future may hold…
